Lorem ipsum new Svinesund Bridge connects Sweden with Norway and was finished fourteen years ago. Weather, wind and traffic have worn on the bridge, and now it is the time to repair parts of it. Midroc Alucrom has won the procurement for repair work over a four-year period. Together with the sister company- Midroc Scaffolding, Midroc Alucrom ensure a unique offer where blasting, painting and a specially designed scaffolding construction have been developed to meet the requirements that the complicated bridge repair requires.

– The maintenance work started at the end of June 2019, Alucrom will repair concrete damage and improve the painting work on the bridge, additionally, the edge beams are in need of blasting, says Thomas Johansson Business Area Manager at Alucrom Entreprenad.

Midroc Scaffolding has developed a special solution that is adapted to the bridge and to the needs of this project. With new innovative solutions and very competent project planning, we can now offer the customer a unique solution for mounting the scaffolding on the bridge without limiting accessibility.

The bridge renovation is expected to continue until the 2022, the work will be paused during the winter months.
